No Real Ambition

In his home town of Madrid,
Was offered a deal
By local club, Real,
To sign up for them, which he did…

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Being groomed for goalkeeping glory,
Julio joined the junior teams,
And his mates say he might
Have made the top flight,
Had he not pursued show business dreams…

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 For Julio sang with smooth sex appeal,
Which kept ‘keeping ambition on hold,
With a romantic song
Couldn’t put a foot wrong,
Everything that he touched turned to gold…

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Went on to fame as a superstar,
With the whole world at his feet,
Hit records galore,
Female fans by the score,
It looked like his life was complete…

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 But Julio still longed for the goalmouth
With nostalgia he could not ignore,
So it must have thrilled him to bits
That one of his biggest hits
Was, “To All the Goals I’ve Loved Before…”
