No Respect

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 He must surely own a bus pass
Yet he’s running across our pitch
And according to the media
He was wearing not a stitch.
This man devoid of morals
In fact a total baffoon
The ugly face of football
Managing director of the TOON.
As a fan I am quite disgusted
And now shudder when I think
Just what these fools are capable of
And how much lower can they sink ?
And to think a few days earlier
Floral tributes filled our stadium
To a giant of the game…..Sir Bobby brought us dignity
These clowns…..Just bring us shame.

Notes

Sunday’s tabloids brought us the news that following victory over Reading the owner of Newcastle United and his managing director had a bet which resulted in the M.D. running naked across St James’ Park. Call me old fashioned or whatever but to do something like that only days after thousands of football fans left a carpet of floral tributes around the stadium and on the pitch itself is a total lack of respect to the memory of Sir Bobby Robson.
