Not long to go

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Only a few more weeks
to the Championship campaign
when we start it all off again.
Will my team bring me joy
or another season of heartache
how much more can our fans take ?
Players have returned from their holidays
some lean but some overweight
and some well passed their sell by date.
Our new kit is now on sale
season tickets are being snapped up
but they don’t include the F.A Cup.
The manager says we’re fit and ready
and the football will be slick and neat
so us fans should be positive and upbeat.
We really want this season to be good
not another when we underachieve
but you just have to hope and believe.
So I hope the Coventry City fans are ready
for another crazy rollercoaster ride
which is guaranteed following our beloved side !

Notes

The pre season friendlies will be upon us soon followed by another exciting season,I don’t know about other fans but no matter what has gone on in the last season I always look forward to the new one. I’m in my fifties and been watching games since God was a child,but I still get excited looking at the fixture list !
