Not Neighbours

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 We’re off to watch
Our team play
Loyal supporters
Home and away

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Out on the terraces
We used to sway
A human waterfall
Home and away

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Those are not our
Tickets on e-bay
So precious to us
Home and away

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 We’re not couch potatoes
Nor have we feet of clay
We make the effort
Home and away

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Aye, we’re sick of
‘At the end of the day’
So we pay no heed
Home and away

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Subs are applauded
As they enter the fray
We pay everyone respect
Home and away

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 We’ve even cheered
The likes of Davie Hay
Good ol’ servants
Home and away

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 Perhaps we drew the line
When it came to David May
We all have our limits
Home and away

9 Leave a comment on verse 9 0 Opinions matter much
We all have our say
Voiced with intent
Home and away

10 Leave a comment on verse 10 0 But oh how we’d love
Even a fraction of their pay
Complete fiscal envy
Home and away

11 Leave a comment on verse 11 0 But listen how happy we are
Wandering down Wembley Way
Neutral venue suffices
When it’s neither home nor away

12 Leave a comment on verse 12 0 Some of us might
Even venture a poem
Where ‘ere we be
Away or at home
