The papers are full of the Premiership news,
Sackings and girlfriends and harlots,
Who’s leaving the Reds? Who is joining the Blues?
The pinks and the purples and scarlets.

But to all of their columns I pay little heed,
To their headlines I’m blithely resistant,
For like my old bank which is ravaged by greed,
My interest is quite non-existent.
