“Now It’s Over To The Emirates”…

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Where Danny Mills sat stunned
By the volley aimed at The Arsenal’s play
From a cabby’s blazing gums.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Stood right outside the commentary box
He totally cancelled Danny out
With his take on the current Gooners crop
Arsene Wengers sending out.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Should a Gooner miss an opportunity
Or even fail to win the ball
Then this blokes yap yap yap impunity
Was screamed at one an all.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 He was clearly known at Five Live
For his diplomacy and tact
Even Lawro back in the studio jibed
That he knew where this bloke sat exact.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 He even dissed in eloquence out loud
Which we heard via Danny’s mike
The !ӣ$%^& London Underground
(So the game was on and his lost few quid)
For cancelling their Strike.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 I’ve heard some verbal’s (rightly) given out
In me times stood watching games
But this bloke had more North and South
Than swollen estuary of The Thames!

Notes

I’ve made bits of this poem up, but I’m sure you get my drift.

Although I’m deaf, I could still hear this bloke louder and clearer than Danny Mills, on my radio, at times as his anger (and rising blood pressure) on occasion changed the pitch (sic) of his voice.

The pundits back in the studio seemed to know both him and his voice quite well. That’s how I knew he was a London taxi driver. Who along with hairdressers, as a London saying goes, should be running the blimmin country!

Carefree……braised in Celery.

Stay well, be lucky and keep smiling.

Peace.

Kev.
