O Ye an Me Of Little Faith!

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 An up and down season had realists believing
Our title aspirations seemed scant
Ah! So it wasn’t just me of little faith in the seats
Ever ready to slaughter via cant.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 On a bad day at Spurs, we made too many errs
To meself I said: “That’s it we’re done”
Yet the next match we bounce back, aspirations on track
And race off on a dazzling run.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 We head to the peak, after winning mid-week
With United close by on our tails
In a tight two horse race, we’re instilled as favourites
But who knows if favourites prevail?

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Tired Redman stand blocking our progress
Our downfall did rest in their hands
We were up for the game and exploded
In to action at Anfield, as Carlo Ancelotti had planned.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 A peach of a pass made the first one
From an under fire idol in Red
Who cares about pen shouts a referee waved on
When you’re rampant then two nil ahead?

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 That old cliché says they were lucky
The damage we done wasn’t more
A premonition I had early Sunday
Assured me that we would score four.

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 But it wasn’t to be, my spare cash and me
Parted like spent lovers at dawn
Whilst Koppites applaud us, it’s a big up to Stevie G
As we race toward the wire once more?

Notes

If we win it? Wonderful, if not? Then c’est se ra se ra. It’s still a much better finish to the season than it appeared it was going to be, a couple of weeks back. Also cheers Stevie son for giving us a leg up to what could prove to be a title inspiring victory.

Peace.

Kev.
