Oh No. Not Him. Please No!

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 We’re hoping that Roman has run out of cheques
That cash flow at Chelsea is bad
Profits now gross might reduce down when nett
So any further spending this season is banned.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Shares in our club could hit freefall
As fans dressed in Blue hit the street
It ain’t nothing personal, nothing at all
Just he’s cursed with two blimmin left feet.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 There’s talk in the boozers of transferred allegiances
Blue shirts being burned in disgust
Grapevine says he’s wants to play Champions League
Well then buy him a console, the mug.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 He’s a cheetah like winger with wings on his boots
Who’s seemingly seeking a change?
We’re praying the window will shut sometime soon
Fore a move to The Smoke is arranged.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 His razor sharp wing play is awesome to watch
Whilst he rouses the crowd and enthrals
Only thing is, and the thing he’s forgot
Is when running, one must take the ball.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 I’m being fickle, I know it, and I’m sorry
He might not even fancy our club
So we’re praying Man City, Mancini and Corrie
Might tempt him to sit with their subs.

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 It sounds awful really, the fuss I’ve been I’m making
As one player don’t make a team
Yet watching him play, my instinct unless I’m mistaken
Is quite rightly telling me: “He’ll never be a part of the dream”.

Notes

The above poem is about the close season, and pre window closing Chinese whispers one hears in the boozers and betting shops. That say so and so might be coming to join you, and while you rarely if ever question the managers logic, you also know from the awful done deals of the past that some of the so and so’s will never fit in to the team. Why? Because as a fan you know who and what’s best for your club, without any question of a doubt. It’s just the way it is.

Carefree….we’ve won the Champions League.

Go well and be lucky.

Peace.

Kev.
