At stake was best team in The West
Yet we fielded a second eleven that light
The Waiter’s marbles were questioned in depth.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 “Arry’s no mug, more escapes than Houdini”
Said a cynical punter close by
“Is The Waiter expecting this game to be easy?
Or for Rangers to roll-over and die?”

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Sat watching our pretty approach play
As The Waiter made Peter Crouch moves
I’d a feeling this evening could be one of those days
As The Team down the road found their groove.

Which Crouchy made famous when Red
Or do the psychotic antics of Kevin and Joe say
Exactly what’s needed, when jabbing the finger at a head?

To physically inspire QPR, with their ire.

Bonds red face akin to a Rangers away shirt, as his shouting
Revived leaden legs for the fray.

As his under fire players, finally respond
Though this was a team effort there can be no mistaking
The massive input of Jordan and Bond!

Notes

Rangers ruin our Christmas, as Benitez completely underestimates the football nous of Arry, Kevin and Joe to set a team up, any team, not to get beat when it really matters, then pays the price for it, and as is per usual in such tight situations, (with bragging rights at stake) an ex player of ours (Wright -Phillips) goes on to score the winner against us!
