And I was sure disgusted when he was shafted without reason
Who would ”they” replace him with? Experience or a pup?
They only went and picked the guy we’d beaten in the cup

From us he had a clean slate, with glory to confect
Sullivan, Mulcahy signed, time was of the essence
O’Callaghan came crawling back, such nauseous acquiescence

A few young pups and older heads, confirmed the clubs ambition
Our squad was now a decent one, competition would be rife
Squeezed in a Cockney Rebel too, to give nostalgics life

Hopefully come seasons end we’ll be up there in the hunt
Mooney will deliver, with more service and physique
He’ll soon be spinning cart wheels, with us on a winning streak

A new season and a new manager with some new players, we are spoiled with midfield talent and so far have struggled to make them fit.
