One Day I’ll Fly Away. (It’s cheaper)

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Close mates
Are quite confused of late
They very rare see him.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 The Prem it seems
Has done him in
Where the emphasis on greed wins .

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 In London
Games have left him numb
He feels there’s something missing.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 The Emptiness
Left him almost penniless
Much to his chagrin.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Stamford Bridge
Committed sacrilege
When it came to paying to get in.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 White Hart Lane
Well them and Harry Kane
Suddenly became adept at losing.

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 Upton Park
Where it’s always in the dark
As to when Big Sam might be moving.

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 Selhurst Park
Where a once bright spark
May well rue his club of choosing.

9 Leave a comment on verse 9 0 He’s done his sums
(He ain’t that dumb)
and a move to The Bundesligas looming

10 Leave a comment on verse 10 0 So every Friday night
See’s him catch a Ryan-air flight
To follow (The Blues and Whites) @ Hertha of Berlin.

Notes

It seems with a bit of clever advance planning it’s possible and often cheaper to fly to Germany, catch a game and come back again, than it is to just watch a match here in The Premiership. Well judging by the huge crowds and some blinding games I’ve seen on the wonderful Bundesliga program shown here on a Monday evening (I think?) it might well be worth checking out.

Carefree…..backing Man City!

Stay well, be lucky and keep smiling.

Peace.

Kev.
