One Dodgy Game

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 We all make mistakes,
it’s what people do,
it’ll happen to me,
it’ll happen to you.
So why is it so,
that ONE dodgy game,
should discredit,
Robert Green’s name?
What about the myriad,
of hopeless blunders,
from Calamity James,
and other one-game wonders.
Why are they so
easily dismissed,
this biased drives me
round the twist.

Notes

One dodgy game, one and straight away the media take delight. what about all the times he’s saved wast ham from a certain doom and got scant credit for it? this kind of thing makes me sick, like he said we all make mistakes, occupational hazard of being a goal-keeper. but come on, this guy hardly ever makes mistakes yet at the first slip-up he’s suddenly no good? ridiculous. absolutely ridiculous.
