One For Sorrow Part Five.

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 A magpie staggered home in the dark,
Took a short cut through the local park.
With a brown ale tucked under his wing,
Unable to fly, started to sing,
But as the moon peeped out of a cloud,
Way up in an oak, crying aloud.
He saw a Sheffield owl and said, “Oh my.
Tell me wise one, why is it you cry.”
“We drew with Palace, now we are done,
Relegation to division one.
Promotion together was our aim.
Life’s ups and downs the name of the game.”
The magpie said, “For you I feel sad,
We are promoted and I am glad.
But sometimes in life when you are down,
And a smile always ends in a frown.
Just keep the faith and you will see,
You will soon be where you want to be.
They need support where ever they play,
See you soon in Sheffield Wednesday,”

Notes
