One season: two halves

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Fields of dry
season beginning
aspirations for silverware
summer ends, so-so results
through autumn
rainfall washes skill away
time to knuckle down
early winter frost
A full programme through mid-winter
late winter thaw
time to pass around
sunshine warms your back
through spring
summer begins, league’s gone
won the cup
season ending
Fields of dry

Notes

This is another footie folding mirror poem, with the two halves of the poem mirroring each other, either side of the folding middle line.
I thought the two halves of the football season have similarities, and the mid-winter/Christmas/New Year programme is the half-way point, so it was therefore a good topic for a folding mirror poem.
