Oy Vey, Oy Vey My Son Is Gay!

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Oy Vey, Oy Vey my son is gay and can’t get in the team*
He worships David Beckham and that ubermensch Totti*
He goes to all the matches to worship and adore
His friends who all go with him know the offside law
At all gay clubs he goes to he makes converts to the game
Of pecs and necks so beautifull he worships without shame
His team of dreams he won’t tell me, he treats me like a stranger
But there’s a team he cannot stand that team is Queens Park Rangers!

Notes

I listened to a really great radio programme that contained a bit about gay football fans, some of whom called the presenter Danny Baker and told him their reasons for going along to ‘the football’ and they really were there to worship and adore, but as well as that they were as passionate about going to the match and cheering on their team as the rest of us, irrespective of gender!!!

Great Stuff!

This poem is inspired by that programme and given just a little bit more melodrama by the young gay guy having a Yiddisher Mamma to describe her son and his passion for the beautiful game!!!

peace.
