Perfect Timing

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 This morning I received my season ticket renewal
I can afford one if I eat gruel
It’s gone up by inflation
To continue adulation
Of potential unfulfilled
I’d rather have fishfingers
As long as they are grilled
This afternoon we watched a shambles
The manager prepared to gamble
With our chance of more success
He really couldn’t care less
About the people in the stands
He had ambition and raised our hopes
Now Nigels making other plans

Notes

With season ticket holders at capacity and a waiting list of people prepared to pay £50 just to wait, Nigel and the board have forgotten they need to provide us with something for our money other than a cold hard seat. Watford had the killer instinct that we lacked and though we went ahead twice we never looked like winning.
