Photographs of ’77

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I look through the photographs
of Liverpool long ago
The image of Thompson in 77
Now brings home such woe.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 A team of inconsistency
We’ll struggle to survive
Slowly running out of time
To keep our pride alive.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Fans that wear the red shirt
Are grim faced and broken
The future dark, the future dim
But the UEFA Cup is a token!

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Then the photographs of ’77
Of brave men we would love to recall
Proud and true we treasure the memories
Of the times we won every ball!
