Please spare us a thought

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 it’s been all about the big clubs
Chelsea this and Manchester that
and will they avoid Spain’s big two
when the names come out the hat ?

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 But football goes on further down
with clubs just trying to survive
it shouldn’t be all about the big guns
or having to read about another Drogba dive.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 There’s lots going on in the Championship
with teams battling it out to stay up
but all the media care about right now is
can Liverpool or Everton win the F.A.Cup ?

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 I think there’s a hidden agenda going on
the plan is for one division for the best
all the money going into a Premier elite
which will then see the end of all the rest.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 I hope I’m just being a bit paranoid here
but football isn’t just about Arsenal or Chelsea
we’re all not interested in Man United either
as all I care about is my team Coventry !

Notes

Chelsea deserved to go through the other night and now fly the flag for England in the Champions League.

But I do get a bit cheesed off with the media as it’s obsessed with the Premier clubs, as if football elsewhere is unimportant and not worth writing about.

I honestly believe that there will be a super league one day as clubs feel the financial pressure. That would mean having to follow a so called big club or not watching at all, and as I’m a die hard Sky Blue fan unless we get back up there again, that would be it for me.

Football is now all about money so my prediction could happen.

Editor’s Note:

Let’s just hope it’s paranoia!
Even as a supporter of one of the aforesaids, we all want to see a healthy, thriving pyramid, which adds to the magic of the game.
