1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 He came on the radio
after his team got beat,
he was in pieces and angry
at his beloved club’s defeat.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 He said he’d been a fan for years
followed them all over the place,
but his voice started to crack
and tears trickled down his face.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Manchester United is his team
the current champions of Premier football,
but he was heart broken and bereft
as if they’d had a mighty fall.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 I’m sorry but he doesn’t get my sympathy
and I can’t feel the slightest pity,
if he wants to know about real pain
come and be a fan of Coventry City.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 So please pull yourself together
as others are a lot worse off than you,
because if you think times are tough
then you just haven’t got a clue !

Notes

On the radio on Sunday a Man United fan started to cry after seeing his team lose to Liverpool,and he said if they lose this week he no longer will support them. He wasn’t a young bloke either but he wants Moyes out.

That’s what happens when your club wins everything for so many years, some fans lose touch with reality. Coventry fans are angry and in despair with what’s happening at our club, so how can we offer sympathy to a disgruntled United fan ?
