And Tottenham born and bred
But on this mans birth certificate
N17 the postcode read

This legend he was born
Joined spurs in 1923
White shirt made to be worn

¶ 3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 A player for about 16 years
A coaching course he did go
To Hungary around the time of war
His path he did not know

Before he came back home
He went to manage Chelmsford
A few years he would roam

Alf Ramsey he did acquire
He would become a passionate leader
Stoking the lilywhite fire
