Reflection On Dalglish

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Cheering at the Kop end with my mates,
He appeared, as in that dream-
I was him and he was me
After we swapped shirts.
Both of us were drained
Following a thrilling game.
On scoring the winner
He stood, arms raised, right in front of me.
I pondered on the joy that he must feel,
Giving so much to so many.
With his quiet genius
He sent a roar of wonder through the crowd.
We were always enthralled,
Watching his dazzling skills.
We came to see him play
Game after game.
Game after game
We came to see him play.
Watching his dazzling skills,
We were always enthralled.
He sent a roar of wonder through the crowd
With his quiet genius,
Giving so much to so many.
I pondered on the joy that he must feel.
He stood, arms raised, right in front of me
On scoring the winner.
Following a thrilling game,
Both of us were drained.
After we swapped shirts
I was him and he was me.
He appeared, as in that dream-
Cheering at the Kop end with my mates.
