Reflections

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 A solitary figure on a stark wooden bench
looked out across the mist covered Mersey
Alone with his thoughts, he returned to the time
when the dying were begging for mercy

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Before tragedy struck on that fateful night
he had befriended rivals in the Brussels’ sun
Forever haunted by the drastic change in mood
but there was nothing he could have done

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 A meaningless game then sadness and regret
What makes them think that he didn’t care?
His eyes welled and the tears streamed down
As they had done for twenty long years
