Relegation

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 So why does it matter so much?
Why does it hurt?
What nerve does it touch?

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 You’ve already watched your father die
Seen your newborn baby cry
Kissed your fading Gran goodbye
Discovered that love is just a lie
Plunged each low and climbed each high

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 No fairness, no reason, no blame
Normality torn away
Knowing nothing will be the same

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Emptiness cannot fill space
Of things lost to this dark place
Remnants of life in a leather case
One more sadness you have to face
Another hurdle in lifes tough race

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 And there’s nothing you can do about it

Notes

The helplessness of relegation reminds you of all the times when events are taken out of your hands.

Norwich City are too good to go down – thats what they said last time…
