Remembering Uncle Joe

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Alright Joe
How’s life in Heaven’s Bootroom?
Giving the lads some stick I bet
Well I know you’ll be with us tonight
With Shanks and Bob
Some painful memories for you Joe
We know your big heart broke
Out there on the pitch
Beneath the dark night May 29th 1985
Where 39 Juve fans died
At a Belgian football ground
Words have all been said and written
Many times
And you know the club will do us proud
But I just wanted to say thanks
For your dignity and composure
And for you to know
That we’ll be thinking of you
As you watch the game alongside
The 39 fans who lost their lives
For those who love football truly
Will Never Walk Alone.
