Remembering

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Oh Liverpool
I speak to you and your wet streets
Where we built Anfield
Our heritage our culture
Whose turf masqueraded beneath
The old stones loose as
Ageing teeth
But never lovelier
I’m much slower now
Yet tread the same narrow paths
With the same irresponsible feet
But my old football boots
I hung them up years ago
I’m for dreams these days
For bruises on my skin
Take a little longer now to heal.
