2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 I played a pass to the full back
He trapped it nice and neat;
One of my better efforts –
Right to his feet!

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 But then he lost it
And I said to his face –
You’re blimmin’ useless
A waste of space!

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Later I receive from the same lad
And I’m about to turn with the ball;
Just then the Gaffer shouts to me –
I have to heed his call …

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Return to Senda
Work that zone
Play the one – two
He’s all alone!

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 But we’d had a quarrel –
A girly spat;
Didn’t want to include him
I figured a surly brat

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 But the Gaffer was insistent
Lay it through!
He’s on the overlap
Play it – DO!

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 And so I heeded
This almighty plea
And the ball went sailing
Through from me!

9 Leave a comment on verse 9 0 Returned to Senda
Worked that zone
Played the one – two
He was all alone!
