At lighting speed he charges up the field
From then on his fate was sealed
Liverpool’s number two the best for years
But injury brought pain and tears.

Through the Souness years he raised some smiles
The best right-back seen for miles
Watching Rob my hero in Red
If only he had scored with his head!!!

Injury forced him to retire from this game
We the fans thought it was a great shame
Remembering the games that he played
A distant memory left to fade.
