Roll Up For The Rich People’s Final

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 how many days will the fans have to pay
for building this flipping ‘new’ stadium?
it could be as long as the likes of Brucie
have performed at the London Palladium

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 and Lennon was there when he asked all of us
in the cheap seat to just clap our hands
while the big boys and girls can rattle their jewell’ry
and munch on their prawns in the stands

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 roll up for the rich people’s Final
roll up for the dear upper class
roll up yes roll up for what once was the Cup
where it works out at £5 a pass….

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 and come ev’ry year it’s the same game
in a ground than can hold ninety thou
with fifty between the two teams and their fans
but no-one can quite tell us how

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 as the other odd forty go elsewhere
whilst the semis (which shouldn’t be there)
are split evenly for the people
and make it a great atmosphere

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 so roll up for the rich poeple’s final
roll up but it’s always the same
you can weep you can moan you can scream out this poem
but you know it’s the rich People’s Game
