1. Football.
2. Knees.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 1. Go to park and find a space.
2. Take ball firmly in both hands.
3. Lift knees alternately, in practice.
4. Launch ball into air.
5. Miss ball as too far out.
6. Pick up ball.
7. Judge distance from ball to knee.
8. Bounce ball on knee as practice.
9. Catch ball and step in dog’s poo.
10. Shout: ‘OH DOGGY DOO DA!’
11. Notice small girl watching.
12. Smile at girl.
13. Say ‘I’m trying to do keepy ups.’
14. Throw ball in air and watch it hit girl on head.
15. Try to explain to girl’s irate father.
16. Insist that I’m not too old or girlie to do this.
17. Smile reassuringly and launch ball in air, yet again.
18. Try and join in when father and girl laugh as ball smacks me in head.
19. Realise that I’m not cut out for football.
20. Abandon keepy ups.
