What an architectural ace place to play
But can the home team supremo
Now see what go’s on, in his own eighteen yard box
The answer as always is….no!

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Nothing much has changed at the Emirates then
From the good old days at Highbury
When asked if his team cheated
As a valiant Wigan team were defeated
“I see nothing” said a smug Arsene Wenger
There’s nowt so blind as those who won’t see

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 For a bloke who regularly berates fourth officials
For every decision that goes agin his team
You’d have thought, when they built the new stadium,
For a partially sighted Alsacian*
That the home dug-out would have CCTV?

Notes

Daylight robbery at the Emirates yesterday as Wigan are denied a nailed on cert of a penalty. The first Gooner goal was clearly offside, Arsene Wenger, smug and smiling, interviewed after the match, as usual, saw nothing!

How is it, that, a bloke who always seems to be asking the fourth official, throughout the game “did you see that”? When asked for his opinion on decisions against his team, never seems to have seen anything?

Would the Gooners down to ten men and two nil down at home, have gone on to win the game? Who knows!

As for the referee? I wouldn’t waste my time castigating him, it was as the Spark’s song says….Amateur Hour and a half!

* Wenger, as far as I know, comes from Alsace which I believe is on the French/German border!
