Saviour

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Arriving with a fanfare
And camera flashes too,
The Saviour lands
And shakes some hands,
Cos that’s what Saviours do.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 The team’s great hope has landed,
To cheers throughout the town.
He’ll stop the rot
With what he’s got,
And stop them going down.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Its only time that’s needed
The boss says with a smile.
Just wait and see
Just stick by me,
We’ll win games by a mile.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 But time passes too quickly,
The players fail to win
The fans now shout
There is no doubt,
It is a mortal sin.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 The fans, they soon get restless
Say goodbye with a wave.
Choose not to wait,
Leave by the gate,
When the Saviour fails to save.
