Says Rico

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 “The Eircom League is structured wrongly.
I feel about this very strongly.
Without appearing to sound too pious,
I’m sick of all this Dublin bias,”
Says Rico.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 “I hate these teams with ten defenders.
How can we be league contenders?
The game is spoiled with backs galore,
Why don’t these teams just let us score?”
Says Rico.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 “The referee sent off our goalie.
I condemn this action wholly.
How can we defend our crown,
When robbed of points by Longford Town?”
Says Rico.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 “We’ve raised the bar and set the standard,
Rescued football single-handed.
In the beginning, was Cork City,
Shels are nowhere near as pretty,”
Says Rico.

Notes

Damien Richardson’s Cork City’s defence of their title is not going too easily.
