School Holidays (down the park)

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Down the park the sun is strong
Pre season’s malaise slips away
School holidays really are too long
Yet seemed once to pass in a day
I’m still Kenny back to goal
Twisting turning boots of gold
My son is Ruud Van Nistelrooy
His new ManU shirt his pride and joy
Its strange to watch it on the line
Pegged up innocently next to mine
The LiverBird just shakes her head
At being close to Fred the Red!

Notes

Parry Maguire (2004)

“If you’re in the penalty area and aren’t quite sure what to do with the ball, stick it in the net and we’ll discuss your options afterwards!” –Bill Shankly
