I’ve walked alone so many times
But never at our Anfield ground,
Heard the optimisim and the whines
Walked shoulder to shoulder with the crowd.

And although I didn’t know those that strolled with me
I felt perfectly safe with the big lads towering above,
Sailing down Breck Road our sea of red is all I see.

I’ve grabbed my chips from the chip shop
In my mind I’m reliving the game,
Liverpool 2 Sheffield United 1
A win for us all the same!

I’m homewards bound, leaving our Anfield Town
Until the weekend that is,
When I’ll return on Saturday
To see Liverpool lift the crown.
