Shaven Headed Saviour

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 It was a dark afternoon at Upton Park
Gloom in the sky and the stands
Silenced by our dreaded fears
Final hope had surrendered the fans

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 But unknown to the deflated masses
One man stood tall with belief
Being wrenched by the claws of relegation
As JULIAN DICKS, found the ball at his feet

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 BANG! like a shot from an AK47
Left foot screamer fired home
Suddenly Upton Park felt like heaven

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Keeper didn’t move an inch
Valued his hands too much
An eruption of “forever blowing bubbles”
Surely now we were staying up

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 In a moment the gloom had vanished
Our leader had shown us the way
the sun shone on the face of a legend
I’ll never forget that day.
