Sheffield Steel

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Like a throwback to days of yore;
cracking, crackling cup tie atmosphere;
baying full house at a
buzzing, vibrant Bramall Lane.
Victory for British grit
over foreign flair.
Neutrals rejoice as Nade nets,
then join in with Bladesmen
biting nails and cuticles to the quick.
On the touchline prowling Wenger morose;
on the pitch towering Morgan immense.
Stand-in custodian Jagielka
untroubled in Sheffield goal as
Arsenal’s lightweights
huff and puff, but fail
to hit the target.
Final whistle: Warnock ecstatic,
driving blade deep into
heart of Arsenal revival.

Notes

What the Premier League (and all football matches) should be about. Sheffield United have a team to be proud of. I’d love to have a Chris Morgan in my team – fantastic!
