Slavery?

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Bewildered black skins, stolen from home
Shackled together, away ‘cross the foam
Pounding of hearts, expressions of hurt
Beaten and abused and treated like dirt

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Affluent smile shamefully, cargo sold
To work for masters, do as they’re told
A depth of suffering, only they know
Bitter winds of racism, to this day blow

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Country to country, they sell their wares
Millionaire footballers, with few or no cares
Sports cars, diamonds, money to save
Bewildered black skins, turn in their grave

Notes

“I think in football there’s too much modern slavery in transferring players or buying players here and there, and putting them somewhere.” Sepp Blatter, F.I.F.A. President.
