Sofa, So Good

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 The armchair critic
Sits on the edge of his seat
Watching his team lose a two-goal cushion
They go behind, as he sits on his.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Battling back, they bring him to his feet
Couched in glory
Celebrate with three chairs
Not quite the same is it?

Notes

It’s the discomfort of watching live football that adds that special enjoyment. Couch potato comfort – no jacket required. When the chips are down, all eyes are on the game. Moaning about how our team have gone off the boil due to the managers half-baked tactics. It’s the thin end of the wedge. His post match comments are met with a crisp retort. He’s blighted our season!

I’ll stop now. (It’s hurting…)
