Went ringing through the stand,
And to a man, the fans all rose
To give their team a hand.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 “Oh look!” said Davy Rogers
As he waited for a free.
“The fans are standing up for us,
It’s marvellous to see.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 ‘Let’s repay this gesture by
Going on to win the Cup.
It brings a teardrop to my eye
To see them standing up.”

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 “How right you are,” said Stewie Byrne,
“It really is too sweet.
It brings a lump up to my throat
To see them on their feet.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 ‘I’m going to try much harder now –
It’s galvanised my game.
And it is clear the other lads
Must surely feel the same.”
