Stanley Matthews

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Stanley Matthews wasn’t right,
His head felt dull and woozy.
It was as though he’d spent the night
Asleep in a jacuzzi.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Saliva trickled magically,
The fans could hardly quibble.
They’d come for miles around to see
The Wizard of the Dribble.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 The poor left back, who was not quite
As bad as he was painted,
Was left confounded at the sight,
When Stanley Matthews feinted.
