“Stick To Your Patch”

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 There’s this one pillar in Catford
Holding up a road sign
When I first moved here it was tainted
Now I’m claiming it as mine.
Stuck on was a Clapton Ultra’s sticker
Like Catford’s where they belong
Encroaching into my Sarf Lunnon
That’s just so 100% wrong!
It’s become a war of attrition
I give back as good as I get
It’s covered with Dulwich Hamlet
Negating the invasion threat.
Stick them up wherever
But this post is MINE
Just accept you’ll NEVER claim it
And we’ll get along anonymously fine.
I’m not a man prone to violence
Will you take that chance with your sticker
‘Cos if I ever catch you covering mine
You’ll end up a window licker!

Notes

(This one’s from about a year ago. Personally, I’ve got nothing against Clapton, or their famous ultras. I see them maybe three or four times a season, but I will draw a line when they put one of their stickers up where I live, in SOUTH London!)
