Do you mind if your players cheat
Or should they, at all costs,
Stay up on their feet?

When players go to ground
Flat on their faces
When there’s no-one around

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Do your strikers race forward
The big number nine
He gets in the box
And falls on the line

Boys against men
Do you care if they crumple
And claim “it’s a pen”

Is it conning the ref
Or is it trying for victory
When there’s nothing else left

Or witness a farce
As you watch your big striker
Roll around on the grass

Notes

Norwich City are third in the Championship following promotion from League One last season.
Previously, the only league we were likely to top was the Fair Play League. Nice Norwich, family club, simple country folk. Not any more. I’m not accusing our players of diving, but I can smell the chlorine. We are being awarded unprecedented numbers of penalties – are we cheating or playing the same game as everyone else – Discuss…
