Sudden Death

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 It dosen’t seem sudden at all,
watch the netminder fall,
gracefully lands,
the ball in their hands.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 He’s killed the shot,
and that’s your lot.
Striker is a shattered soul.
tortured by the would-be goal.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 You need raw nerve,
the ball will swerve.
Think fast,
to deflect the blast.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 How they can stand more than five,
lone custodian, barely alive,
basking in his team’s awe,
opposing number 1 still on the floor.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Sudden Death?

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Shoot me now.

Notes

In times of Sudden death I have been known to decide that a Penalty shoot out is not that bad at all compred to this tortuituous act of net-busting.
