Sven’s Gen

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Oh, dear, in trouble again, Sven?
Caught talking out of turn, ah yes:
You’ll quit England and manage Villa
if England win the World Cup.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 And what if we don’t win the Cup?
Will you continue as England’s no. 1,
must try harder, your report card will say.
The FA: “We’ll back you, Sven, you’re our man!”

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Ah, if only England could make the headlines
in Germany that you always make.
Headlines, that’s what we need,
those big headlines when we win the Cup.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Then you can go wherever you like, Sven,
to Aston Villa or to Tinpot United.

“Sven: No problem with stars” on FoxSports.com January 16, 2006
http://msn.foxsports.com/soccer/story/5252414

“England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson claims he has ‘no problem’ with his star players and insists he has not embarrassed them.

“The Swede told an undercover reporter – posing as a rich Arab – that he would quit as England coach if they win the World Cup this summer, and suggested he would be prepared to become manager of Aston Villa as part of a hypothetical takeover.

“In addition, Eriksson made indiscreet comments about Michael Owen, David Beckham, Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney.”
