The 12 Gospels of Liverpool

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Kenny came from heaven to make Liverpool his home
But God told Sir Bob: “He’s only on loan!”
Sir Roger could score with his eyes closed in sleep
And the goalies closed theirs in prayer on their knees
Ian St John could make a charm of the ball
And it would only leave his feet on the journey to goal
Ron Yeats built a wall with his body and nowt else
Big Clem he could save like the dear Holy Ghost
Terry Mac performed miracles ask them at Spurs
Whilst Keegan left Bertie Vogts losing his hair
Ray Kennedy quite simply a King in midfield
Whilst Hansen’s grand boots had eyes in their heels
Robbie Fowler’s scored goals with the greatest of ease
There’s no doubting the passion of our own Stevie G
And The Kop for each game is the 12th man on the team.
