Notes

True story..Two screens – one each end. We had the “Away End” in the pub ..but selflessy shared it with 4 very quiet and well behaved Liverpool fans. (Unsegregated!)! Normally we’re totally outnumbered by Man U ,Liverpool and Arsenal fans … and it’s usually just me and Rick and Nick lost in seas of red . But last night all the old Stroud-West London exiled Chelsea fans crawled out of the woodwork at The Market Tavern, Stroud . The songs just lifted the roof off. Rick Manning, would-be-poet extraordinaire ) bless him , even brought in special ‘RESERVED -CHELSEA’ signs for the seats and bar stools!. So this poem is about our own Away End of the Pub complete with flags and scarves. Thanks Dale (Landlord ). Still looking for a spare for the second leg..anyone?
