The bad side of Football

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Football is called The Beautiful Game
but there is a bad side as well
like so called Chelsea fans
giving poor old Rafa Hell.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 And what about Mancini
ruthlessly shown no pity
he only won the Premier League
and the Cup for Man City.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Managers are given no time
sacked and quickly shown the door
unless your name is Ferguson
I’m sorry you’re not wanted anymore.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Men with lots and lots of money
have come and bought a club or two
but they’re not really Football people
in fact most of them haven’t got a clue.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 And a lot of players have become greedy
they play for money and not the shirt
and fans get ripped off by clubs
treating us like pieces of dirt.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 But Football is still a great game
even though it can be so unfair
but some of it is so wrong
no wonder it makes me want to swear !

Notes

I’ve been a Football fan for Fifty years and still love it.

But I don’t like the way it has become all about business and money, it has moved so far away from it’s roots now.

You only have to look at my club Coventry City and the mess it is in to see how money or the mismanagement of it can cause the near collapse of a club.

There’s a lot of anger in our City and it’s aimed at these men in suits who are just in it for themselves and don’t care a jot for us fans.

And to Chelsea fans who gave your manager stick, you
don’t know how lucky you are !
