The Ballad of Posh and Becks

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 We could have been like Posh and Becks,
Enjoying wild, orgasmic sex,
With me as Becks and you as Posh,
Two Mercs in the garage, and plenty of dosh.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 I could have been David, and you Victoria,
Our lives just permanent euphoria.
You’d be Vicky and I’d be Dave;
After every match we’d be off to a rave.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 If you were a spice and I played for United,
We’d both be seriously delighted,
You in the studio, strutting your thing,
Me spraying passes to either wing.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 But the glitz and the glamour and the spotlight’s shine,
They never will be yours or mine,
And people are no more than they seem,
But even a boring old fart can dream.

Notes

A couple of years ago I had a very short haircut. Some women in the office said it made me look like David Beckham (if only!). Hence this poem.
