1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 some get moved by the smell of the sea
some get high over scones and tea
some love car boots wading through junk
some go to India and live like a monk
some like nothing more than hanging around
but I get the buzz at the football ground

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 some crave the countryside walking by a lake
some work ev’ry day and never take a break
some love desert hills bathing in the light
some dig cities in the middle of the night
some love silence when you can’t hear a sound
but I love the noise of a football sound

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 some live for shopping and making loads of money
some grow vegetables and keep bees for honey
some hate company and long to get away
some love someone else and see them ev’ry day
some wanna be a star and scream out loud
but I’d rather be in a football crowd

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 some work for charity and do great stuff
some live in poverty and never get enough
some follow one club and always will support it
some only go to games when they can afford it
some like some things but lately I’ve found
there’s nowhere on the planet like the football ground
