The coronation

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 We have so much to say these days.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Banners visualise the air bellowed,
Our house alive with excited chatter.
Music loud, songs sung, sweet mellow,
how happiness sounds,
around this ground.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Cartoon grins on all the faces,
like passport photos,
they’ve been some places.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Cartwheeling through the streets,
cheering our heroes home,
as the Kings of Europe,
take their throne,
as the Kings of Europe,
take their throne.

Notes

Originally, part of the poem “Bragging rights” but was excised. I felt they were really about 2 different things. Although, there is an element of bragging, it wasn’t the same message as “Bragging rights”.

[BTW, I can’t get that damn song “Owner of a lonely heart” out of my head. Dunno why I’m writing this here but I needed to tell someone, it’s driving me nuts. At least, it’s not crazy frog.]
